Recently, I've been on a quest to achieve the Holy Grail of social media - A blog that when updated, updates a Facebook page and Twitter account AND emails a mailing list. It turns out that it isn't that hard.

Using Drupal to create a Social Media marketing engine:

Recently I was tasked to create a site that not only integrated Facebook and Twitter likes and feeds, but also had the capability to "push" content posted on a blog automatically to a Facebook page and a Twitter account. After researching various apps, I went with NetworkedBlogs. Since Drupal puts out RSS feeds for content automatically (yoursite.com/rss.xml), you just sign up at http://apps.facebook.com/blognetworks/index.php and plug in your site feed as the blog URL. Then in the syndication options for the NetworkedBlogs app, you enter your Twitter and Facebook page credentials, and viola! You have a push system that updates your Facebook and Twitter every time you blog something new.
